Built Tough.
Sounds Like It Too.
The GWM Tank 300 is one of those vehicles that surprises people. Rugged, capable, and well-equipped — and the factory audio is genuinely better than most expect. Nine speakers including a centre channel, A-pillar tweeters, and a dedicated cargo-mounted subwoofer. On Infinity-equipped Ultra variants, there's even an external amplifier driving the system. It sounds good. Not great — but good. The factory subwoofer is modest, the signal processing is averaged across the cabin, and road and mechanical noise compete with everything at speed. System One addresses the subwoofer. System Two unlocks the DSP potential. System Three is the complete build for owners who want the Tank 300 to perform as well acoustically as it does off-road. The Tank 300 owner tends to invest in their vehicle. This is the audio upgrade for that person.
Tank 300 Lux
The Tank 300 Lux runs a 9-speaker standard audio setup — centre channel, A-pillar tweeters, front mid-bass, rear full-range drivers, and a cargo-mounted subwoofer. Better than most vehicles at this price point. The factory subwoofer is the first thing worth improving, and DSP amplification is the upgrade that unlocks the rest of the system's potential.
Tank 300 Ultra
The Tank 300 Ultra adds Infinity branding and an external amplifier to the same 9-speaker layout. Infinity hardware is capable — the external amplifier confirms there's real infrastructure already in place. A DSP amplifier is what the system needs to perform as the hardware suggests it should. System Two is where most Ultra owners will land, and the results are significantly better than the factory delivers.
Off-Road & Modified
The Tank 300 attracts owners who modify and invest in their vehicles. Lift kits, wheels, protection gear — and increasingly, audio. Road noise increases significantly with a lift and larger tyres, which makes sound deadening even more valuable and DSP calibration more important. System Three is built for this — comprehensive acoustic treatment, proper component speakers, and DSP tuned specifically for the cabin as it actually sounds. We account for modifications when we calibrate.

Better Bass.
Properly Done.
The factory sub is decent. Ours is better.
Contact us for a quote- Subwoofer upgrade — replacement of factory cargo-mounted unit
- Power kit, cables and minor parts
- Installation and calibration
The Tank 300 already has a factory subwoofer in the cargo area. System One replaces it with something better — higher output, lower distortion, properly controlled. No changes to the factory speakers or head unit. Just a meaningful improvement to the component that defines how the system feels at the low end.

Multichannel DSP.
Factory System Unlocked.
DSP precision. Every speaker, individually controlled.
Tailored quote — contact us- Multichannel DSP amplifier
- Full individual speaker timing, phase and EQ calibration
- Sound deadening — front doors
- Power kit, cables and minor parts
- Installation and calibration
A multichannel DSP amplifier takes independent control of every speaker — centre channel, tweeters, front mid-bass, rear drivers, and subwoofer — timing, phase, and equalisation corrected per channel individually. For Infinity-equipped Ultra variants, the DSP unlocks what the factory tuning was never designed to provide. Sound deadening in the front doors reduces road and mechanical noise. Factory head unit and controls unchanged.

Rapid Radio has been installing and calibrating car audio systems in Auckland for over two decades. We work across the full spectrum — from everyday EVs through to Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Tesla — with every build calibrated by ear to the vehicle and the owner. No compromise installs. Factory-clean finish. Every time.
No two builds are the same — and that's the point.
Because the DSP is the engine of every upgrade, the hardware around it is entirely flexible. Entry-level speaker sets will sound dramatically better than the factory system — and world-class reference components will do things the factory engineers never imagined. We work across the full range, from practical upgrades to reference builds, and every system is calibrated by ear before you leave.

Upgrade Packages
How long does the installation take?
Most Tank 300 audio upgrades are completed in a single day. System Three builds with full sound deadening and speaker replacement may require the vehicle overnight. We'll give you a clear timeframe when you book.
How much does a Tank 300 audio upgrade cost?
Pricing depends on your variant and the system you choose. System One starts from under $1,500 installed. System Two and Three pricing varies based on DSP unit selection and component choices — contact us for a quote specific to your Tank 300.
Will an audio upgrade affect my CarPlay or factory features?
Every system we install leaves the factory head unit and all factory controls in place. CarPlay, Android Auto, and steering wheel controls all work exactly as before. Nothing is removed. Nothing is bypassed. The upgrade sits behind the scenes.
Is sound deadening worth doing on a Tank 300?
Yes — sound deadening makes a significant difference in the Tank 300, particularly at highway speeds and off-road. Road noise, wind noise, and mechanical noise are all present in a vehicle built for this kind of use. Front door deadening is included in System Two. Full deadening — front doors, rear doors, cargo area, and tailgate — is part of System Three.
How many speakers does the Tank 300 have and where are they?
The Tank 300 runs 9 speakers across all variants — a centre channel mounted in the dashboard, two A-pillar tweeters, two front door mid-bass drivers, two rear door full-range drivers, a cargo-mounted subwoofer, and a rear fill speaker. It's a more comprehensive layout than most vehicles at this price point.
Does the Tank 300 have a factory subwoofer?
Yes — the Tank 300 has a dedicated subwoofer mounted in the cargo area as standard across all variants. System One replaces it with a higher-quality unit — better output, lower distortion, properly controlled. System Two and Three also include a subwoofer upgrade as part of the full build.
What audio system does the Tank 300 Ultra have?
The Tank 300 Ultra features Infinity branded audio with an external amplifier driving the 9-speaker system. Infinity hardware is capable — the external amplifier confirms real infrastructure is already in place. A DSP amplifier is the upgrade that unlocks what the system is actually capable of. System Two is where most Ultra owners will land.
My Tank 300 is lifted. Does that affect an audio upgrade?
Yes — if you've lifted your Tank 300 or fitted larger tyres, road noise increases significantly. This makes sound deadening even more valuable and DSP calibration more important. We account for modifications when we calibrate the system — let us know what's been done to the vehicle when you get in touch.
