Car Radar Detectors

We are referred by the major car dealers in Auckland and are New Zealand's experts on radar and laser protection from Escort, Uniden, Genevo, Escort and Stinger.   We can supply and install the right radar for your needs, from windscreen-mounted portable radar detectors to fully installed stealth radars and laser alert systems.

We test our radar detectors with our own actual radar and laser guns, the same type used by New Zealand police.

Car Bluetooth, CarPlay and AndroidAuto Systems

We can add Bluetooth to most cars, even if you can't change the stereo.  You might not be able to make calls through it but you can stream anything from anywhere.  Pocasts or audio books, or music from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Rova, Sticher, Amazon, PocketCasts, Radio Garden, and iHeartRadio.  In fact anything that you can hear on your phone can be played in your car. 

Depending on your budget, anything is possible with the right audio product and installation.

We upgrade or integrate CarPlay, AndroidAuto and Bluetooth into many European cars such as Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Maserati, and others.  Alternatively, we may be able to simply change the entire stereo system in the dash depending on your car and your needs.

 

Car Reverse Cameras

In many parts of the world, reverse cameras are required in cars by law.  We can help with a backing camera in almost any car available in Auckland.  Using either a low profile reverse mirror replacement with built-in LCD screen, dash mounted monitors or integrating into a factory screen or upgraded stereo, there's a range of options to suit a huge range of cars and trucks.

We can install everything we sell at our central Auckland installation workshop.  Located close to Auckland's central business district, Rapid Radio stocks an extensive selection of the world's leading brands, both in audio/visual and radar detector products.

Rapid Radio has New Zealand's most comprehensive installation facility, incorporating wood, metal and fibreglassing areas with a large underground installation bay and a dedicated area for large-scale installations.
